3. Arthrosamid® as a CE-marked medical device.

Arthrosamid® is a CE-marked medical device (class IIb) in accordance with the European Medical Devices Regulation (EU MDR 2017/745) and Belgian legislation on medical devices. Since December 9, 2025, Arthrosamid® has been manufactured and supplied in accordance with the European Medical Devices Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR). This means that new deliveries of Arthrosamid® (REF 50020 and REF 50021) fully comply with the current and stricter European legislation for medical devices.

The MDR sets higher standards for safety, performance, traceability and aftercare, and Arthrosamid® has been successfully certified for these.

• Arthrosamid® is available only through licensed medical specialists at licensed clinics.
• The treatment is not reimbursed by the health insurance funds in Belgium and falls outside the compulsory health insurance (NIHDI).
• Individual results may differ from published clinical study results.
• Arthrosamid® is not suitable for every patient. Prior medical evaluation is required.
• If in doubt about suitability or possible contraindications, consult your treating physician.
